The Broadfording Lions Tournament championship tilt tonight St. Maria Goretti and Shenandoah Valley Christian Academy in both the boys and girls participated.
lidlifter In the season on Monday, St. Maria Goretti's boys rolled by Highland View Academy 59-29 and Shenandoah Valley rallied from a deep hole down Broadfording Christian, 55-51.
In the girls matchups Goretti scored a 31-17 victory over Highland View and Shenandoah Valley downed Broadfording, 47-32.
The girls championship game will be played at 6:30 clock approach, with the boy immediately. The girls consolation game between Highland View and Broadfording begins at 3:30, followed by Broadfording and Highland View in the boys consolation.

Goretti had no problems with lead Highland View, bolting to a 11-0 in the first four minutes - helped by four Highland View transactions of which two in Leazier 3s at the other end.
Early in the second quarter, built the Gaels lead "to 27-7.
Highland View, led by Trevor Franks was 16 points, two full quarters without a bucket and made just six baskets in the game. The Tartans were 17 of 37 from the free throw line.
"I was not satisfied with the level of sales (24) we had," coach Goretti Amrit Rayfield. "We can not send people to the line 37 times."
The Gaels showed some offensive energy in the uptempo style, and Rayfield did not hesitate, his 10-man squad operation - nine of whom scored.
"We want to get points in transition, be upbeat and not stand around on defense," said Rayfield. "We have a little of that in the second half on defense."
* Broadfording Christian coach Burnie Clutz watched his team play aggressive, use low-Shenandoah Valley shooting early in the game and build a 40-22 lead with 4:40 left in the third period.
Then the roof started to cave in.
The Patriots went on a 22-0 run, thanks to improved recording, which the Lions pay for five straight turnovers made.
Kervin Rameau, who led the Patriots to 18 points proposed to be a bridge SVCA a 41-40 lead with 6:10 remaining and the Lions were left standing in the rain.
"We missed free throws, Layups and in the end we just do not run our offense," said Clutz.

* Colleen Costello led Goretti girls with 13 points as the Gaels broke away from a 5-5 draw after the first quarter, scored the first seven points of the second to a lead they never relinquished to take.
The Gaels were lucky, shooting just 22 percent from the field (10-for-46). Highland View hit only 7 of 36 (20 percent).
Costello and Lauree Lorensen had eight rebounds apiece for Goretti.
Louise Nyambati and Wendy who scored five points for each Highland View.
* Broadfording hung tough with Shenandoah Valley, leading 13-11 just a few ticks in the second quarter on a bucket by Jade Boone.
But the Patriots went out to a 14-2 run for a 25-15 halftime and broke things in the third quarter run with an open 10-0.
Broadfording's Katie Connolly had 19 points, including a trio of 3-pointers, but the Lions can not compensate for SVCA the big two.
Six-foot-one Allie Pieper had 17 points and 23 rebounds, and forward Emily Tucker added 21 points - many coming on breakaways.
